Four suspect that are linked with a bold daytime mugging incident along Lenana road have been arrested by DCI detectives based in Kilimani.
According to DCI the four suspects were arrested in their hideouts in Gatina, Kawangware and Pangani.
The suspects included; 27 year-old Timothy Jahan Muzami alias ‘Timo’ captured on camera hitting the victim with a firearm on the forehead, Humphrey Minyata alias “Daddy” aged 23 years captured on camera pointing the victim with a sharp knife, Mary wambui aged 23 years old who was harbouring the suspects in pangani and Ali Musa alias ‘Ally’ aged 26 years old who was arrested during the operation and believed to be an associate of the gang.
The detectives found among other items; a pocket knife, a jacket that one of the suspects had worn during the mugging and a pair of camouflage sneakers.
Additionally, they also recovered a smartphone and MacBook laptop which are thought to have been stolen from the suspect.
In a video that circulated widely, showed an early morning mugging where the thugs advanced towards a pedestrian who was carrying a backpack.
One of the thugs was wielding a knife which he pointed at the victim before his co-conspirator clocked the victim on the head with the butt of a pistol. They then went on to frisk him, taking his mobile phone and his backpack before disappearing down the street.
