realme, the Chinese smartphone maker has officially entered the Kenyan market with the introduction of C3 phone which will retail at Ksh 14,000.
The company is aware of Kenya’s strategic location as a technological and smartphone hub and as such is keen to introduce its international superiority in smartphone development to Kenya with a number of products targeted at young consumers.
In his statement, general manager of realme Middle East and Africa operations Josef Wang noted; “realme always believes that by providing exquisitely designed products and reliable performance, we can offer wide consumer groups especially youth with better user experience, realme focuses in developing it products and design continuously and will unveil more distinctive products and technologies in 2020 because our customers deserve to have products that are compatible with their expectations.”

The C3 phone’s features include;

Thus far realme has grown 40 million global smartphone users across 59 markets. Its reception in the global market has been a success ranking at position 7 in the world. Last year the shipments reached 25 million with year-over-year growth level of 808% making it to be classified among the fastest growing smartphone brand worldwide.
It remains to be seen how the local uptake will be considering a number of other smartphone players that have already set up shop.
