MCB Group a Mauritus-based diversified financial services firm has unveiled its representative office in Nairobi. Alain Law, MCB Chief Executive said the firm which is the oldest and biggest bank in Mauritius, will leverage its new office to scout for opportunities in the Kenyan market and build strategic relationships.

“In this respect, our Kenya rep office can be a doorway to Mauritius and MCB group and our array of products and services for Kenyan corporates,” he said at the opening on Wednesday. Mr Min, however, clarified that the firm didn’t have any plans to open branches and banking halls in Kenya, with the Nairobi office initially being used to gauge available opportunities. The firm also has presence in Mozambique, Reunion Island, Madagascar, Mayotte, Paris, the Maldives and Seychelles.
