The fintech company which specialises in developing customized end-to-end enterprise payment solutions for SMEs will face four finalists from Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa at the finals in Cape Town, South Africa on June 20, during the MEST Africa summit.
Speaking at an event to announce the finalists, Chief Executive Officer of GHL bank (One of MEST Africa Summit Sponsors), Mr Dominic Adu said: “The world economy is rapidly changing to disrupt traditional businesses through technology, innovation and global competition. As more traditional jobs are eroded, innovative start-ups will be the key contributing factor to curbing unemployment and protecting our lifestyles and livelihoods as a nation and continent.”
MEST is a pan-African training programme, seed fund and incubator for technology entrepreneurs in Africa, providing critical skills training in software development, business and communication.
The programme was launched in 2008 by Meltwater Foundation, headquartered in Accra, with presence in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Ivory Coast.
