The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results are set to be release today at 1pm, at the star of the sea primary School. This is
according to the Kenya national Examination Council (KNEC).
The results will be announced by Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed. Previously, on Sunday, President Uhuru Kenyatta had noted that the marking of the KCPE examinations had been finalised and the results were expected anytime soon.
During his address, the president also noted that this year’s exams were free of cheating and other malpractices.
“There was very little cheating or abuse during this year’s exam and I thank the parents, teachers and candidates. We want to congratulate all those who contributed into making the exams a success,” President Kenyatta said.
The Exams were administered between October 30 and November 1. A total of 1,060,703 candidates sat this year’s KCPE exams.
KNEC has also released the official number that students can use to get their results.
“For your KCPE 2018 results send SMS with ‘Índex Number’ to 20076,” the council said in a tweet.
The government has pledged a 100 per cent transition to secondary school. Candidates will have calling letters before Christmas.
