Former Agriulture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri has launched a new party, the Service Party of Kenya (TSP).
Having been out in the political cold for over four months, after being sacked by president Kenyatta had vowed he would make a political comeback.
“Our party is about service and we believe in working for the people of Kenya. This party will be an alternative voice to Kenyans,”
He added that the party is coming as an outfit to serve the common mwananchi and in readiness for the 2022 general elections. The embattled leader also said that the party will be launched on a date to be communicated after the Corona pandemic situation improves.
TSP is now a registered party by the registrar of parties. We have taken the past few months to recruit members to make sure we form or influence government decision making,” he added.
In his statement, the former high school teacher and tout, emphasised that his party would offer a democratic space where members would not be challenged for their choices.
“TSP will provide a platform for free minds to express themselves…nobody will be threatened to take a certain direction,” concluded
The party with yellow colors, and a symbol of heart in a circle, he says, will have the service of Kenyans at heart.
