Three suspects were arrested on late Sunday while engaging in a fake supplements business in Roysambu, Nairobi County.

The three were identified as; Dennis Mugambi Kamwara, Isaac Njoroge and Brenda Watetu kamau, but identified with the names Ziporah Kariuki, hamisi, Jonah and Stephen Maina.

The criminal gang was arrested by DCI detectives established at Langata.

“The trio – who are among a wider syndicate and whose operations are conducted under pseudo names using different phone numbers –shuts further connection after receiving money from their victims, leaving them stranded with no traceable physical address,’’ DCI said in a tweet.

The three are reported to lure gullible victims into the venture.

Through its twitter account, the directorate noted they have received numerous cases of such in the area.

“More investigations ongoing and suspects to be charged with, among any other possible counts, obtaining money by False pretences C/Sec 313 of the penal code,” he noted.

Further, the DCI warned members of the public to be cautious whenever engaging in any online business dealings with individuals, agencies whose physical addresses and legality of business are vague.
